2.  Eating fresh fruits contributes fiber and nutrients called bioflavonoids.  Bioflavonoids fight inflammation while strengthening the walls of blood vessels.  Hemorrhoids are bulges in blood vessels – a balloon like effect.  Lemon and oranges are the two most important citrus fruits that supply flavonoids.

3.  Witch hazel, which acts as an astringent (shrinks tissue) can be poured on toilet paper and in addition to helping you clean will also help decrease the bleeding, swelling, and pain caused by the hemorrhoids.  This can be done two or three times per day.

So there are three quick things to help prevent and cure hemorrhoids.  If you are currently suffering hemorrhoids a sitz bath is also useful.
